The Rochester Association of Black Journalists also hakes part in community forums on media coverage, school career day sessions, and journalism workshops.

Rochester Teen Vibe Magazine offers youth a voice, and an opportunity to write.
Under the direction of RABJ member James Johnson and supported by other RABJ members, student reporters are mentored by journalism professionals, and other volunteers.
Requirements:
• For every poem or opinion piece a youth writes they must write a fact based article.
Fact based articles must include:
• Three sources
• One interview
Fact based articles must also follow the outline. The outline must be completed before an article is considered done and payment can be relieved.
All articles must:
• Be double-spaced
• Include a layout idea
All youth contributors will be made aware of the requirements at the first meeting.
Articles can be submitted via email to: rochester_teen_vibe@yahoo.com.

There will be a deadline that online contributors will have to submit their work by. In order to be paid, online contributors must be willing to edit their work according to suggestions made via e-mail.
